A small, yet extremely enthusiastic
and vocal, team of swimmers from Bellbowrie Swimming Club attended the
Jamboree Heights Carnival on Sunday 21 October. Consisting of
James, Kaitlin, Jenny, Connor, Rosie, Liam and Clare, the team produced
a monumental effort in the pool, resulting in a very impressive 22 PBs
from 25 swims. Jenny even managed to rush off to compete in her
school's music festival before running back to the blocks and producing
a sizzling breaststroke swim to place second. While many ribbons
and some medals were taken home, the highlight was definitely the many
PBs achieved at the meet by all the Bellbowrie swimmers. With PBs
ranging from tenths of seconds to a whopping 8 seconds, all of the team
should be justifiably proud of their efforts at the meet. With the
success of all swimmers in bettering their PBs, the PB basket requires
substantial topping up and Mrs Martin will be back at the shops again
before next week's CYMS St Edmund's carnival.
